What sizes do portion control bags come in?LK Packaging portion control bags come in two common sizes — 6.5 by 7 inches (plus a 1.75-inch flip lip) and 10 by 8.5 inches (plus a 2-inch flip lip) — packed 2,000 per case with a flip-lip closure and saddle-pack format. How do day-of-the-week portion bags work?Day-of-the-week portion bags are color-coded and printed Monday through Sunday so kitchens can date and rotate prepped food on a first-in, first-out schedule. Staff portion an item, grab the bag matching the prep day, and older stock is used first. What is the difference between portion bags and sandwich bags?Portion bags are sized and often day-labeled for pre-measuring set amounts of food for serving consistency and rotation. Sandwich bags are general-purpose bags for holding a finished sandwich. Both are food-safe, but portion bags add sizing and labeling for prep control. Are portion control bags food safe?Yes. LK Packaging portion control bags are made from food-safe, BPA-free polyethylene approved for direct food contact and meet FDA requirements for food packaging.
